7-29-87	  Court issues Temporary Restraining Order against LWF, et al.
8-5-87	  William B. Culimore, Director of NH Charitable Trusts, requests prompt
 hearing for appointment of Atty. Douglas Hill, of Meridth, as Receiver, to 
 conserve the St. James Asso. (Camp Leo) assets.
8-15-87   LES reports permanent closing of camp and court control of its 
 assets, plus suits charging fraud, abuse and neglect.  
8-17-87	  LES reports Court removes LWF and other Foundation directors.
8-18-87   LES reports suits filled by four parents against LWF and CL plus other
 attachments against LF to tune of over $600,000 in liens.
8-19-87   NH Superior Court voids prospective sale of CL property, and BSA
 suit for first rights, as Mrs. Lachmund had no real power to make deal.
8-24-87	  MUL reports BSA loses suit to buy Camp Leo.
9-1-87	  LWF begins Camp Leo newslatter, a day-to-day report on his activities,
 ranging from buying food and cleaning toilets to trying to buy time in a series
 of actions, replete with Pro Confesso, Pro Se, and other litigious phrases.
 Letter sent to ten, mainly religious, associates, plus Mrs. Lachmund.
9-4-87    Corporate status of St. James School of New Haven and SJ Foundation 
 is forfeited in Connecticut, due to lack of annual reports since 1980.
October, 87  LWF reports on various CL struggles, including vandalism and theft.
10-18-87  LWF writes to Fr. Townsend about annual meeting of SJ Asso., to be
 perhaps at Fr. Brendan Morrissey's Friary in Abington, Mass.  He hopes that 
 court order against LF officers will be lifted. Also hopes that new Board
 Members, Stetz and Ms. Neville will help recruit a "religious staff," and that
 a wood chipping operation may bring in $1000 per week. (letterhead is of SJ

11-1-87   Sunday, Nov. 1. Last known entry for CL newsletter of 10-26 to 11-1.
 LF Attends Sacred Heart Church in Laconia.  Later works outside with "Peter"
 a youth ordered by the court to do 25 hours of charitable duty. Working 
 together in the fine weather brought memories of other boys from correctional
 institutions and the "lifer" caretaker at SJ.  
11-12-87  Pre-Trial Hearing scheduled
1988      Superior Court actions against Leo Foundation of NH continues.  
1987-90	  LWF involved with a plan to reopen SJ at a former school in West Va.
 Gives Yale Alumni Directory mailing address as Box 52, Parsons, WV.
  
8 - 88    Report that Francis attempted to reopen Camp Leo, counter to Court's 
 orders and fled to Canada when exposed.  
   
9-8-88    70th birthday of Leonard W. Francis.  Not a happy one....
  
9-12-88   Francis present for opening of trial, but has (4th?) heart attack   
 while jury inspects Camp Leo and trial postponed.  
  
10-11-88  Trial resumes and evidence presented that mortgage arranged by Francis
 and property transfers from one Leo organization to another null and  void. 
 Fr. Townsend and Mrs. Lachmund (again?) removed as officers.  (They had little
 or no direct involvement with Francis.)
  
10-27-88  Court Decree dissolves St. James Association and places all Camp Leo 
 assets of property and 400 acres in hands of receiver Douglas Hill for
 distribution against claims of nearly $500,000 by numerous creditors and 
 litigants.
1989  	  School scheme in Parsons, WV collapses when School Board learns of 
 problems of SJ in Berlin, Conn.
Summer 89   LWF reportedly works on former property in hopes of reopening CL.
